1. Do Lift chairs need to be assembled when it is delivered?
Lift Chairs are delivered in a box and there is no assembly required other than connecting the power cords and hand controls.
2. What is a Two-position lift chair?
It has a sitting position, a slight recline position, and a lifted or standing position. These are the most economical models if you're searching for the most affordable lift chair.
3. What is a Three-position lift chair?
It has a sitting position, a slight recline position, and a lifted or standing position and a recline position (Not a full recline). This is the most popular category for an electric recliner with a broad range of styles, features and a range of prices to meet most budgets.
4. What is an Infinite Position lift chair?
This chair adds a full-recline, also called the Trendelenburg Position, which elevates the feet above the heart. These are also called Infinite-Position or Zero-Gravity recliners. If you're looking for complete control over positioning and health benefits then this is your lift chair.
5. Do I have a protection plan if the chair has issues?
Both Pride and Golden Technologies lift chairs include an in-home service contract and warranty for parts and labor. Call ScooterDirect if you experience any product difficulties and we will facilitate support for you with the manufacturer.
6. How much weight can a chair support?
Most lift chairs can support 375 lbs but there are models like Pride LC358XL that support 500 pounds and the Golden Comforter Super 33, model PR502-W33 that support 700 pounds.
7. Are there other health benefits to lift chairs other than being able to stand?
Yes, Zero-Gravity chairs improve blood circulation, especially for those who experience issues with poor blood circulation and shortness of breath. They also relax and elongate the spine, decompresses the lungs, and promotes overall body wellness
8. How much room behind the chair is required?
Each chair has a different requirement depending on the design and model. There is a specification labeled “Distance Required from Wall Reclined” for each model. On average you can plan on 2 feet.
