Sit and Stand Frame This addition allows the user(s) of the stair lift to choose to ascend/descend the stairs in either the usual seated position or to stand on the footrest, whilst holding onto a special folding steady/security bar for stability. It is ideal for those who may have problems with bending their knees, or where multiple users with different requirements will be using the stair lift. Hinged rail The lower section of the rail folds up and out of the way when not in use, allowing greater access at the foot of the stairs. A good example of the application of a hinged rail is when there is a doorway at or near the foot of the stairs, and where a fixed rail would obstruct the doorway. Bridging Platform The bridging platform can offer a quick, cost effective solution to certain types of curved staircase. Good examples are winding turns right at the top of the stairs, or perhaps a turn on a flat landing where there are 2 or 3 steps after the turn. NOTE:
States that require a Permit for stairlift installations: Washington - Oregon - Michigan - Minnesota - New Jersey Something You Should Know Most Sites offering a low price like ours are selling AC Powered Stair Lifts. These units have the full household current going to them and are not as safe as the DCStair Lifts. In Addition, if your electric goes out with an AC Stair Lift it will not work. With our DC Stair Lifts a small battery charger plugs into your standard wall outlet. This charger charges the 2 batteries in the chair automatically when the chair is parked at the bottom or the top of your stairs. If your household electric goes out for an extended period, our DC Star Lift will continue to work for days. DC Lifts are the prefered Stair Lifts and on most sites the more expensive choice. We do not sell AC units and offer our customers the lower price on the much preferred DC Stair Lifts.
